The stay in Huemules includes:
Each dome contains a queen size bed or two twin beds, and an additional cot can be added for children under 14 years of age, at an extra cost. For those over 14 years old, an additional dome must be reserved. We will do everything possible to keep the family as close as possible.
Yes, Huemules is an excellent destination for the whole family! There are many activities for all ages and it is a place that everyone can enjoy. Keep in mind that we are located in a rural environment in the mountain range, with streams, forests and completely wild terrain.
Our environmental policy aims to preserve the habitat and movements of the fauna and bird species present, so the presence of domestic pets is not permitted.
Each dome has a specially designed full bathroom built inside. It has a shower with hot water 24 hours a day, sink with mirror, toilet and bidet. We offer biodegradable towels and amenities.
The domes are located in the natural environment of the Patagonian mountain range, therefore there is the presence of both fauna and birds and wild insects. None of them represent a threat or danger to our guests. It is likely that during your stay you will be able to see foxes, hares and various types of birds: woodpecker, chucao, parrots, caiquenes, ducks, among the most common. With some luck and especially on longer stays, deer, wild boar and condors may appear.
The entire sector of domes, rooms and common areas is wired and wildlife usually flees when in contact with humans, so their presence hanging around the domes and common areas is highly unlikely. On the other hand, being located within a rural establishment, we can find domestic livestock: horses, cows, sheep, etc., in sectors far from the domes.
Huemules is located in a mountain range environment. While spring and summer are generally sunny and with pleasant temperatures, at night it is common for the temperature to drop sharply.
The Patagonian climate is changeable, a day of 25 degrees and sun can turn into a storm with an abrupt drop in temperature in a few minutes, so we recommend being prepared for this type of situation. Likewise, the accommodation sector is located at a medium altitude and sheltered from the wind, so the climatic conditions are more pleasant than in high mountain areas, which are reached on excursions.
The weather in the Patagonian Mountains is very variable, a sunny and hot day can become cloudy and cool in a few minutes. That is why we recommend our visitors bring:
Don't forget to bring sunscreen and mosquito repellent.
We designed Huemules to provide a stay in full contact with nature and great privacy. We have 10 domed rooms, separated from each other by an approximate distance of 30 meters and the ñire forest, designed to maximize the relaxation of our guests. While we encourage guests to get to know each other on excursions, during meals, and at the nightly campfire, everyone will be able to build their own experience and choose their interaction with others and the staff.
Yes, Wi-Fi is available in the common areas. Being in a remote area, internet service is limited, and we ask our guests not to use it for intensive services such as video streaming, so that everyone can enjoy good connectivity.
We have our own antenna to provide cell phone signal in common areas. This service works with lines from the Movistar company. During the excursions, and depending on the routes, there will be various places where there is a signal.
Huemules offers the best dishes in the region: Patagonian beef and lamb, trout, sweet and sour flavors of our sweets made with fine fruits, mushrooms and vegetables from the region, the best Patagonian wines and beers. Additionally, if our guests require it, we have vegetarian options and options suitable for celiacs. It is important that dietary restrictions are clarified during the reservation so that we can prepare.
All Huemules staff are trained in first aid for emergency care. If necessary, we have equipment to transport you to the nearest hospital in the city of Esquel, 45 minutes away. At Huemules we are prepared for any emergency. We do not have a doctor on the property.
Of course. We have special programs for common interest groups. Please contact our reservations area to design an unforgettable trip together.
